Growing up in the Eastern Cape, Mayson was born to a teen mom and raised by loving grandparents who tried their best. Looking different than most people in his community, he decided from a young age he was going to make a name for himself. The life of crime appealed to him and his ability to play the part of a good child, let him get away with a lot. However, at the age of 14, things changed and life became a familiar story of addiction, heartbreak, and death. A last ditch effort by his mother disrupted the course of his life forever and he will never be the same.
